The match between the AU-Wa-terburys and the jBrooklyns has not yet been arranged, although it was understood that both teams had agreed to meet on Thanksgiving day. Managers Lawlor and Dunphy will meet this evening In Bauhy's cigar Btore and will try and come to some agreement. Manager Lawlor gent in word to the Democrat ofllce this morning that be was willing to make the match, but only on the follow ing terms. He will play Brooklyns for a $100 side bet or as much more of a bet as they may desire, winner to take the side bet and the eutlre gate receipts. If however Manager Dunphy believes there should be a losing end, he will play for the win ner to take the side bet and seventy five per cent of the gate receipts, giving the loser twenty-five per cent. Under no conditions, he says, will he agree to split the gate receipts. That seems to be a very fair proposition. The nrst one is even better than the second, for the winner will get everything and as both sides arc- confident of being declared the vic tor, there should be no hesitation on the part of any manager in accepting' such terms. The All-Waterburys were out for practice last night and George Mulli gan was in the line-up on one of the ends. He will undoubtedly be tried out in that position in the game Sunday down in Bridgeport. The team will leave here Sunday morning and will go to Captain Bond's place in Stratford, wher,e they will limber up a little in preparation for the game with the Acorns in Bridgeport in the afternoon. Report comes from New Haven that Harvard has been sending in a whole bag full of coin, taking up all the bets on Yale at evens. It may be only a report, but if it is true, some of that Harvard money might 6top off here, for there is one man who has $500 that he would liketo lay down on the Yale team. TEN DEATHS SO FAR. DOESN'T SPARE HIS RIBS. Tour Fractured. But Miller Keens un it ia vint xuoioau. Winsted. Nov 18. Burton Miller, right guard on the Norfolk football team, is the pluckiest man playing the game in the state this season. One week ago last Saturday Miller had four ribs fractured, but played the game out before seeing a doctor. Last Saturday when Norfolk met Tor. rington, Miller surprised players and rooters of the Norfolk eleven by ap pearing In togs for the fray. He played right guard In both halves. Norfolk lost by a score of 5 to 0, but It was not Miller's fault.
