After a few expenses arc paid, there will still be left over §200 for the soldier benefit funrl. Messrs. Frank Wall and J. E. IX, announces the marriage of his daughter, Miss Myrtie M. Mills, to Mr. W. S. Looney, of LaPlant, S. D. The -wedding took place in Portland, Ore., Thursday, Sept. 12th. The bride was attended by her sister Mrs. Elmer Porter of Tacoma, Wash. After an extend ed visit in California and other southern states, Mr, and Mrs. Looney will return to Mossman, for a time, at least. Owing to the extreme short age of sugar, it has been found necessary to place all sugar users in North Dakota on the same basis and upon instruc tions from Washington, a new regulation has just been is sued by the Federal Food Ad ministration tor the state, cut ting down the amount that may bo sold to farmers during the threshing season, from three pounds per person per month to two pounds per per soA per month. Heretofore, farmers have been allowed to buy sugar for the threshing Mason on the basis of three pounds per per son per month. "Our sugar supply is very mu'ch under our sugar require ments." said Federal Food Ad ministrator Ladd, today. "There is not enough sugar for canning purposes and it is feared that a large amount of fruit may go to waste in this state unless sugar la available immediately for that purpose.
