' w RORTANT INFORIV1ATION The Graf Printing Company has made arrangements to pive abso lutely free to some populär girl in this or the adjoining counties, a ; magnificent $400 piano. This prize is ' worth striving for and someone is going to get it sure. We could not afford for a minute to make such a proposttion which we will not back up and the condi tions of the contest are fully set out in the advertisement to follow. The young lady who secures the greatest number of votes during the next three months will get the piano. How many votes she may get depends upon the number of friends she has and whether or not they stand by her. Besides the $400 piano as first prize, we are giving extra prizes before the contest closes. Every girl in this territory has an opportunity to win some of the prizes. All that is necessary is that their names be sent and we will promptly send out the neces sary subscription receipt blanks and order with instructions how to procced. Votes will be issued as stated in the rules of the contest for all sub- . scriptions and they may be voted as the subscriber wishes. One thing, however, we must insist that our advice is not asked in the mat ter as the contest must be conduct ed fair for all, and we will not fa vor anyone more than others. Many other valuable and useful prizes will be given and an nounced later. , Candidates Any young lady in this vicinity is eligible to aplace in the contest. The most populär young lady is the one who shall recaive the most votes; to her shall be awarded the beautiful upright piano. General Instructions Standing of the contestants will be published in paper more or less regularly, I same to be cotnpiled from editor's record. as ballot box will not be opened until final count at dose of contest. . ;. ' " Make up your mind who you are going to vote for before com ing to the oflke, as we will posi tively not decide the matter. An awarding committee of three of the best business men are to be appointed to make final count and distribution of prizes. All yotes should at once be de posited in locked box. The key to the ballot box shall be in posses sion of the awarding committee during the contest. One thousand votes will be given free to each young lady nominated during the first thirty days. A free ballot good for 100 votes will be run regularly during the greater part of the contest. Contest to run not less than six ty days. i The day of closing will be announced about thirty days in advance. The contest shall dose at a cer tain date announced later. About a week previous to date of closing the judges are ' to take ballot box carefully locked or sealed to the bank announced in news column, where it will be kept during busi ness hours and in the vault at night, until the dose of the con test, when the awarding committee takes Charge and makes final count. During the last week voting may be done in the sealed box at the bank. If secrecy is desired in vot ing place your cash subscriptions together with other votes and cou pons, in sealed envelope with name of contestant on same and deposit in ballot box. Envelopes and sub scription blanks will be fumished for the purpose. .
