Sims and family are a gain residents of the old ranch house at Kenna, having moved back this week. R. C. Baker of Nobe, was here Monday on his way to Dexter where he will be engag ed for the summer. W. M. Locker and wife of Duke, Oklahoma, came in Sat urday to visit their daughter, Mrs. E, L. Small. What has become of the church painting brigade? ' We fail to see any new paint being spread. Mr. Roche, like, all intelligent people, sees a great future for 'New Mexico, and after looking around over the State decided that this was the place. - We realize that our commun ity h is been neglected to a great extent by not having a corres pondent in the field, so. if we are allowed a little space occas ionally we will try to give a few happedings from the Valley View country. James Morria is home from the Eagle Hill country where ho has been drilling a well. He is taking a rest on account of a lame arm. . The farmers have begun farming in good earnest. Planting is the order of the day. E l McCoweh is the most hustl ing farmer in the country, al ways up before day. Mr. Lee Collins is home from Roswell for a short stay and has been looking over the loco on his farm, and while wandering around happened in at Vallay View, Call again, always glad to soe our old neighbors. Thomas Nichols is in the gardening business, He is go ing to lihow the Valley View people how to truck farm and what the New Mexico soil will produce in that line.
