Mr. Crile says the rains have "
greatly improved the prospects
for the fair Which without the
rain would have been the big
gest and best ever held in east
ern New Mexico. The live stock
and products will be there and
the amusements and races Will
be there. Special attention is
being given the amusement de
partment this year. For inst
ance the race program will be
better than last year, and those
who saw the 1915 races know
that means something. There
will be more band music, and
more amusements of every kind
The Roswell Elks will have
charge of "Happy Land" a gor
geous collection of attractions
which will be hnld each night in
the down town district. The
Elks are overlooking nothing to
make the people happy during,
their ftay in Roswell.
