Ignacio Esquivel, Eugenio Uomero and Ncpotnoceno Segura were appoiulcd n committee on cre dentials. The following persons were ap pointed special police to keep order during the meeting: Francisco Baca, Epifanio Baca, Jose Bamirez, Pablo Ulibarri, Jose L. liivera, Conuto Maes, Francisco Sena P. Armijo, three membors from each precinct were chosen to present a ticket, to the con vention. After the nominations there were many speeches made by prominent men from different ' purls of the county. The Las Vegas band was in attend ance and discoursed music through out the session of the convention. Everything passed off harmonious Jy and much cuthu-mm for the ticket was exhibited by the participants. Hurrahs, cheers and firing of pistols amid the music ot the band annouuc ed the close of the convention at a late hour last night. Fatal Accident Charley Paul, head breakman on No. 12, Section 107, fell from the train yesterday and had both legs mashed by the wheels. The accident, took place at Kingn au. lie was brought to town and an amputation perform ed by Dr. Shout. After the operation he appeared to rally, but it was only tcniporay. The shock to the system was too great and he was weakened too much by loss of blood. He died yesterda) evening. He has a brother who is also a breake-man on I he road. . . ..
