There is small basis for the rumors
that the Fenians intend to seize arms
in the north of England ; precautious,
however, are being taken. The po
lice patrol in county bligo, Ireland on
the night of the 2d exchanged shois
with an armed party. It is supposed
that one of the prowlers was wound
ed ; two were arrested.
A stringent peace preservation bill
will undoubtedly be introduced in
the British house of commons to en
deavor, if ponsible, to stop disturban
ces iu Ireland.
One of the largest land meetings
ever held iu Ireland took place in
county Galway on Sunday.

in the windows and mobbed all Jews
that they met, The police was com

was invaded and emptied of Jews.
Large and stormy meetings continue
to be held and the crusade seems to
be train u sr force.
Reports received hereof demonstra

object of protesting against the ami
Jewish agitation is unfavorably com

(Jermauy can tolernte no intervention
