J. M. Kobinson writing from Mead ow Lake, gives interesting facts regarding the once famous in i m n r camp. lie states that the camp is all gone to the dogs and the mines about the place, with their machinery .and hoisting works, are gradually mould ing into decay, anl there is nothing but ruin everywhere. Ihe town is now occupied by ten men,two women two cats, a dog (dying) and a mule, who occasionally amuses himself kicking down a row of buildings lie kicks down one building at the end and the rest falls as a matter of course. Hundreds of houses have been ( rushed flat by the snow. One man claims fourteen buildings and is try ing to occupy them all. Another man l:as located forty six ledges and is waiting for some capitalist to come ulong aüd by him out. Ocasionally a ground hog wanders into the streets or a bear comes in to inspect the town which relieves the monotony consid erably, and such visitors are always welcome, lo visit sucii a spot re minds one of Hood's weird poem.
