That there is nothing experimental or theoretical in our
tests and estimates of the Halifax lands, we find traces of
the occupation of the land in the old Mission ruins, the
foundations of ancient build ngs and fortifications, the
old sugar mills and an exten ive system of drainage ditch

gin forest, with the furrows of the old fields still plainly
