The ball room of the Clarendon last
night was even livelier than usual.
Joined by many automobile parties
from Daytona, Seabreeze, Daytona
"each and Ormond, the dancing con
tingent at the hotel spent several de
lightful hours one stepping and fox
trotting. The dancers lingered in the
ban room longer than the usual hour
and the insistence with which encores
were demanded added gaiety to the
informal hop. The nightly dances at
the poplar hotel have been one of the
most potent factors in the resort life
throughout the season and wit the
cessation of the formal affairs have
hecome the most attractive feature of
the hotel pleasures.

Miss Gertrude S. Allen and Charles
S. Hebard of Chestnut Hill, Philadel
phia, are again at the Clarendon, hav
ing motored up from the south. The
party were at the hotel earlier in the
season.
Stopping for their first visit to Sea
breeze en route north, Mrs. V E
Miller, Miss G w Miller and Miss
M. B. Miller, of New Haven, Conn.,
are guests at the Hotel Clarendon.
The trio will remain at the hotel until
April.

A notable luncheon party in the
Clarendon dining room Wednesday
was eom posed of Mr. and Mrs. L. E.
Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Row
land. Mrs. Hlodgett and Mrs. Camp
bell, of Toledo Ohio.
Everyone in the dancing contingent
at the Clarendon is regretting the de
parture of Miss Helen Whit beck, the
lovely daughter of Mrs. P. M. Barb,
of Chicago, who. with her mother!
left yesterday for the north. Miss
Whitbeck's winsome personality made
her one of the most popular members
of her set during her stav at the resort.
I-everett Hayden entertained Miss
Margery Eraser and Mr. and Mrs.
Lee M. Kumsey at dinner in the Lotus
grill Wednesday night. The ltumsevs
made a brief stop at the Clarendon on
their way north from Palm Beach.

Miss Iesnond. of Toronto, are derid
ed acquisitions to the Canadian con
tingent at the Clarendon, where thev
expect to spend the remainder of the i
