One of the most delightful
- parties of the season was the
r porch part y given at the home
i of 1)r. and Mrs. F. S. Porter on
t last Tuesday evening. The
- guests were received by Misses
Nannie and Stella Porter. At
one end of the wide piazza was
stationed the Pickens Band and
while the young couples were
making merry the sweet strains
of music col( he heard resound
lug far and near. Many inst-rni

vine-clad i)laZZa stood a minia

bucket. Over the frame of the
well was twined ivy and grape
vines. From this well the most
. d6licious punch was served by
e M's. Porter and others. This
was the most frequented spot
during the evening. Among
the out of town guests present
