Cold Point, Jan. 10.-Miss Lillie
Wicks and ir. Tom Duncan were mar
ried at the home of the bride Christ
mas day. It was a (qulet home mar
riage comting as a surprise to friends.
We wish this young couple many hap
py and successful years of joys and
pleasure. They will make Laureus
Mr. .Jim Munday and family will
move to the Wulff place this week. We
regret to see them leave but wish them
success in their new home.

Mt. Pleasant school has opened with
new life since Christmas. The teach
ers are with Mrs. len Cuningham now.

.anford, Jan. 1.-The holidays
passed off very quietly and everybody
is at work again.
We have only one wedding to report
during the holidays, that of Mr. Rich
ard Patterson to Mrs. Addie Calvert,
of Enoree, which took place at the
home of Mr. W. D. Paterson's at high
noon on December 25th. We wish for
them a long and happy life.
Miss Rtobin Patterson spent last
week in Woodruff.
Alr. and Mrs. W. D. Patterson spent
several days last week in Augusta
with Mrs. I atterson's brother, J. E.
Little Magaret -Drummond, who was
taken desperately ill on the train last
Friday is inuchly improved.

school this week on account of sick
