Freeland, flagman on the GreenivIle branch of the 'C. & W. C. railroad, had a harrowing experience in the local freight yards Wednesday, morning when he was caught between tle bumpers of freight cars and drag ged several yards before the train w brought to a stop. Mr. Freeland, with several others, were repairing the htumipter on a freight car attgeled to two other cars and was lifting the bumper with both hands 'whon ihe st iug of ears behind hin) rolled upon him nolselessly and pinned liim be tween the bumper' which he was lift ug anl the bumper of the approaching car.
