AN ACT Requiring a Bond from County Commissioners, Before Entering upon the Duties of Their Office. ? , Be it enacted by tho Senato and House of Representatives of tho State of South* Carolina, now met and sitting iu Concral Assoinbly, aud by tho author ity of the Bomo, That the County Com missioners shall', beforo entering upon the duties of their office, bo, and they are hereby, required to give a bond for the use ueo of their respective Counties, in tho penal sum of two thousand dollars each, with three good and sufficient sureties, to bo approved by tho Clerk of Court of their respective Counties, conditioned upon tho faithful and im partial porformanoo of their offico : Pro vided, That' tho Commissioners of Charleston County shall furnish a bond, hereinbefore provided, iu the penal sum of ten thousand dollurs each ; and tho Couoty Commissioners of the Counties of Beaufort, Barnwcll aud Richland shall furnish a* bond of five thousand dollars oach, ns hereinbefore provided : Provided, further, That this Act shall not bo iu forco uutil on and after the next general election of County Com missioners, Seo. 2.
