Herzl Lodge was held on Thurs
day November 5th The com
mittee on arrangement for the
Chanuckah Ball as well as BNai
Brith Day reported preparation
being in progress and that indi
cations are for the usual success

It was reported that some Jew
ish orphans are sheltered by the
Faith Home A committee was
promptly appointed to investi
gate this and if found to be true
that steps be taken for their ad
mittance to the Home in New
Orleans
Some propaganda work is to
be carried on during the next
few months to increase the mem
bership of the local Lodges
Concordia Club Dance
The Concordia club kept open
house last evening and after the

Arthur Lipper Mr Freed is a
prominent traveling man and a
member of the firm of M E
Gimbel Company Mrs Freed is
a sister of Emil Oscar and Ar
thur Lipper She has been in ill
health for some time and went to
San Antonio in the hope of re
gaining her strength She was
quite a young woman and is sur
vived beside her husband and
brothers by a little son mother

leans and one in San Antonio
The remains will be brought to
Houston for interment but as

made
