BISBEE, ARIZ.. OCT. 29. 1900. A GRAND GIET. The munitlcentolYer of Messrs. Dodge aud James mode to the citizens of Bis bee should be accepted in a spirit that shows a glad appreciation of this pro posed gift. The building offered will in its per fect completion of all that is healthy and progressive, be a likeness of that wonderful structure in Besant's '"All Sorts and Conditions of Men" the peo ples' palace. It will contain a gymnasium, bathe, reading room, card and chess room, music, lecture room, In fact a building that will add to the health the mor ality, the intellectual and physical de velopment of our people, and be a com fort to the older Members of the com munity. An assurance is required by the don ors that the institution will be support ed, conducted and protected by tho people who will be its proud possessors. In fact It Is asked that we undertake) the responsibility and accept the gift with a sense of the Importance of tho charge entrusted to us. It le proposed to secure the names of our young men, and of all those who are willing to pledge their support, and for this purpose lists have been placed in the business houses to which the people are signing their names. The readiness with which our young men are attaching their signatures to these lists Is a proof of their willing ness to bear the responsibility in order to reap the benefit. .The management of the establish ment must be of the most perfect kind, and its system of government should admit of no mistakes. All this prelim inary will give our young peeplo neces sity for thought and prove their capa bility for organization and executive work. We shall be glad to voice all sugges tions on behalf of this important mat ter. - Ihe Republican Meeting.
