i Nevada Is building up a solid tur
key producing industry in a logical
way, in the opinion of FI. L. Shra
der. extension poultry specialist of
! the United States Department of
Agriculture, who recently paid a
visit to this state.
The growing (if the holiday bird

| sis, the expert stated, with from
150 to 300 birds, as a rule, being
| raised along with other crops. It

j crops, according to the federal man.

Two of the best feeds for tur
keys are milk and alfalfa, and
these, Shrader said, being produced
on tlie farm with the turkeys, af

of the work, thus cutting costs, as
j otherwise extra labor might have to
| be hired.

never be run together,” he de

keeping turkeys disease-free, he
stated.
