It is popular doctrine among many of various denomina lions. People are taught to pray • i the Holy spirit Baptism in or der that fbey might be saved. A .ull and fair study of the New Tes tament. however, will reveal that the Gospel of Christ demands and -m i.- only water baptism now I believe if we find the purpose hi which God use, j i he Holy Spit it and the Holy Spirit Baptism, we will better understand it. First we find it was to guide the Apostles into all the truth toiln 1 ti: 13. Since the Holy Spir it came as recorded in the second chapter of Acts, it must have guided the Apostles into all the truth, and those who claim to have more truths from God must .e taise prophets. Second we find that the Holy Spirit Baptism was to confirm the word of God. Mk 16:17-18; Heb 2:14. Kk I am writing a deed. I can continue to reveal and write on that deed until it is complete j Cs 2 Betty Rose I / i Ajy Coats and Suits . . . clothes that catch the rhythm of NOW— , fashion hits and encores that turn on popular interest, tune in on good fashions . , . you’ll I UwrudiotLuXnu wear them tirelessly. j The PERFECT SUIT I roomy pockets with l I f! ap? ‘ Here's an all- ’ \ T*\\ time coat, good for J \ j j j( j (lavs and nights .... \l\i 11 1\ I and when it bears the \\ \ \ j \ k \ BETTY ROSE label ‘ M 1 II , it means so much ftf . more. | $ 22 95 'iZirtZZ ■■■ '' ■ ■— * • 1 " '' J 'l■ ■" ■ ■— l -y~ .. So it is of the word of God. It was written and the seal of heav en was placed on it by miraculous power resulting from the Holy 'Spirit Baptism Those who claim to get the Holy Spirit Baptism in our time must get it to confirm another gospel or deed as God’s gospel is already confirmed. But Paul says if any man preach any Other gospel let him he accused. Gal. 1:8. V So we are forced to conclude that all the so-called Holy Spirit Baptism in our time are deceptive and come from the Devil, as we have no promise of such coming from God. Many people think that the Holy Spirit will come down directly and save them. I challenge anyone to | show one example in the New Testament where the Holy Spirit ever saved anyone separate and apart from the word of God. God does not call men to preach toilay apart from his word as men claim. If you have the Holy Spir it Baptism let some proof of it be shown bv the healing of the sick or speaking in tongues WE will he waiting for an answer.
