CUNNING HAM. age 18, son of Mr. and Mrs Cunningham, is no* in training at the AAF military training center in San Antonio, Texas, where, thousands of air corps basic trainees are undergoing a rigid six week basic training course de signed to fit them for further ape cialized air corps instruction. The basic training schedule includes in structions ranging from organiza tion of the army and personal ad justment to the time-honored prac tice marches and dose-order drill. Over 20 subjects are covered in the six-week course. O More than 531,000 enlisted men of the armed forces of the United States became officers during World War 11, according to army and navy records.
