REQUIEM MASS CELEBRATED AT FOR LATE PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY •In honor ’of the late President John F. Kennedy, a requiem mass was held at Our Lady of the •Sacred Heart church in Sells on Monday evening, Nov. 25 „ Three priests participated with Fr. Gordian as celebrant. About 100 persons, mostly Papagos, a tended the service. Residents of Ali Chukson, Gu Oidak, and Topawa joined with Sells re sidents. Tribal Chairman Eugene J. Johnson, who had met and talked with Kennedy in Washington in March, spoke briefly at the memorial services. The office is open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. RESERVATION JUVENILE OFFICER STARTS WORK; FIRST ASSIGNMENT IS SAN XAVIER Jack J. Hitchcock, who was a detective for the last three of the five years he was a member of the Tucson police department, started work in November as a juvenile officer for the Papago reservations. His first assignment is on the San Xavier reservation. He and his family are still living in Tucson until housing is available at Sells, Mr. and Mrs. Hitchcock have two chosen children: Jimmie, 8, and Sally, 6.
