KERWO COMMUNITY GROUP HEARS SOCIAL 31CURITY, WELFARE, PUBLIC HEALTH TELL IMPORTANCE OF DATES Importance of Social Security to workers and the value of keeping lists of dates worked and where and for whom were stressed at the Nov. 20 community meeting at Kerwo. Proof of age is required for Social Security and welfare assistance, ochool, church, marri age, and census records are important the villagers were told by Social oecurity, Public Health, BIA social workers speaking to the group. Nellie Martin was also present. Births should be reported promptly. Deaths may be reported to Public Health or Law and Order personnel and should be done within two years if Social Security benefits are expected. Among those attending were Margaret Aguilla, Frances Alexander, Cross Antone, Nalia intone, Louis Antone, Jose Juan, Lawrence Juan, Mir. and Mrs. Lewis Manuel, Mrs. Robert Leon, Matilda Martinez, Daniel Manuel, Frances Leon, Mrs. Damon Lopez, Nellie Moreno, Aurelia Montana, Annie Montana, Laurentine Montana, Bernice Ortega, Theresa Pilone, Estavana Ramon, Carmelia Ramon, Chico Ramon, Harry Ramon, Lucy Rupensio, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rivas, David Ramon, Nita Ramon, Mary Ramon, Frank Salcido and Meg Saraficio. Songs were sung by the children’s chorus of the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.
