PUBLIC, BIA, PAROCHIAL TEACHERS HEAR
ST. JOHN’S PRINCIPAL AT DEC. 6 SESSION
Teachers of Bla, public, and parochial schools on the principal and San Xa.vier reservations
were hosted yesterday at a joint meeting at St. Anthony’s school, Topawa.
This is the first of a series of sessions planned to acquaint teachers in the various schools
of -their mutual problems. Santa Rosa will be host in March.
Fr. '/»u.j.ter, principal of St. John’s school at Laveen, spoke on a study made of Papago stu
dents attending there since 1951. He mentioned dr op-out; .-figures, scholastic attainments,
where the students came from, and something of their records since leaving school.

religious, Santa claus decorations
Light Up For Christmas" is the motto of the annual Christmas decorations contest for Sells
as sponsored by the HoHoKam Women's club and cooperating civic groups.
First and second prizes of $lO and $5, respectively, will be awarded in two categories-best
religious theme and best Santa Claus or other non-religious theme. Doorways, windows, and
yards may be included in the decoration^
Judging will be Sunday evening, December 22.
