The casualty list cf the Fourth of July is estimated as follows: Killed 33, seriously wouudod 1,1)02, slightly injured 3,000. Chief Justice Chambers of Samoa has returned to the United States. He will in all probibilities not re turn to Samoa. .Ex-Governor McConnell of Idaho now in the Indian service, has spent two months in examining the San Carlos Indian reservation. Two wrecks occured on the Gila Valley & Northern railway, the rer suit of softening of the road bed by the recent heavy rains. H. K. Cheuoweth, collector of customs at Nogales, whose removal from office was announced a couple of weeks ago, has been reinstated. N. A. The remains of a man were found in a cabin on Granite creek near Prescptt, A pistol with an empty cartridge was lying on his shoulder, while a ghastly hole in the right temple showed plainly the cause of his death. Bessie Douglas, who sings in a sa loon at Kingman, was assaulted by a man named John Madigan and stabbed in the right side. Jensen and relieved him of $20. He was rearrested and on the second hearing was held in de fault of $1,000 bail. The Rev. W. B. Costly, of Stock- bridge, Ga., while attending to his pastoral duties at Ellenwood that state, was attacked with cholera morbus. In its aggregate production Arizona stands third on the list. Montana leads with 216,979,334 pounds. Michigan takes second place with 156,669,098 pounds. In the increase of its product for the year Arizona ranks first, Montana second with an increase of something over 20,000,000, and Michigan third with an increase in round numbers of 9,000,000 pounds.. The total copper product of the United States for 1898 was 535.900,232 pounds, a total increase over 1897 of 34,529,937 pounds. The undersigned, being desirous of forming1 a corporation under and in accordance with the Laws of Arizona, do hereby adopt the following Articles of Incorporation: FIRST, The names of the incorporators are W. "W. Willis, Z. B. Docker Jr., A. M, Willis, Lewis A. Decker, Angus L. Willis and W. G. Shum way, who, with their successors, shall con stitute a board of directors for the first year. SECOND, name of the corporation is "The Lone Pine Reservoir and Irrigation Company," and its principal placo of business shall be at Snowflake, Nuvajo county, Arizona. j THIHD. The general nature of the business to be transacted hy the company is, to construct reservoirs for the storage of water for irri gation and milling purposes, to construct and maintain canals and ditches, ai.d con trolling, buying, selling and leasing of water and water claims, -and to transact all other legitimate business incident to, and neces sary lor, an irrigation company to engage in, FOUKTH. The amount of capital stock authorized is twenty -live thousand (725,(00,00) dollars ii shares of ten (íl('.ÜO) dollars each; twenty five percent of which is to be paid within one year irom trom the date ox organiza tion, or as much thereof a9 may be neces- sary for the for the construction already surveyed. FIFTH. The corporation will commence business on the lath day of June, 1899, and terminate in twenty-five years. SIXTH, The affairs of the company shall be con ducted by a board of six directors, who shall choose from among their number, a president, vice president, and a secretary and treasurer, and shall when necessary em ploy a superintendent and such other spe cial officers as the business of the company may require. SEVNTH. The directors shall be elected annually oa the first Monday in March and the election of the officers shall be at the first meeting of the board thereafter. EIGHTH. The highest amount of indebtedness or li ability that the company shall subject itself to is five thousand (f5.C00.00) dollars. NINTH.
