she spied the minister approaching.

is in charge but there ought to be
some head, that's sure! Who is go
ing to take the tickets? W ought

ple are Just thronging in, and you
know that some people can't be trust
ed! "By the way," as he turned to leave,

ning of the dinner that everybody must
hurry and get through, for we've got
a lot of business to attend to and be

"What!" she cried a little later, as

homo duties. I really ought to havo
stayed at home this evening I've
quantities of mending to do, and my
room is growing fairly stwnge. 1 s

least I can do to be here! If 1 man
