The letters go to Mrs. Philip North Moore, head of the Department of Health and Recreation of the Woman's Committee of the Council of National Defense. In reply to these letters, Mrs. Moore continues to state the policy of the council in regard to furnishing the names of soldiers, but cites In diana as showing a way that women ran look after soldiers that have no relatives or friends, without the dan ger that a nation-wide system of "godmotherlng" would incur. . The Woman's Committee in Indiana has systematically made a list of the sn'diers of the State who nave no one Interested in them, and the women as a group make it their business to see that none of them suffer for want of such comforts and attention as other soldiers receive. "In this way the personal welfare of the soldier is looked after by the women of his stnto "The sending t .L 0 t 1U0(j which is simply a S0Urc. discountenanced and ai. for them is under iMel. structed supervision J take up the Idea, if , looking after lnnni.. make such a system ds Hats Gleaned and Blocked Prices Reasonable All Work Guaranteed Your Patronage Solicited Out of Town Customers, send your Hats by mail and we will return them same way.
