BUCK' JONES, SCREEN'S
NEW SENSATION, COMING
Fresh from a brilliant triumph in
his first picture, Buck Jones, the new
sensation of the screen, will be pre
sented in another William Fox pro
duction, "Forbidden Trails," at the
Casino Theatre tomorrow.
In this production the star's role
is an exceedingly Btrong one
"Squint" Taylor, owner of the Ar
row Ranch, near the town of Dawes,
has been entrusted with care of the
property of his dying friend Larry
Harlan who bequeths it to his
daughter Marion. Learning that Car
rlngton, the leader of a corrupt polit
ical gang in Dawes, and Henry Par
sons, a henchman, are planning to get
possession of Harlan's property, Tay
lor makes plans to outwit the sneaks.
After being elected sheriff - of
Dawes, Taylor is refused his seat
through the underhanded work , of
Carrington, who has his friend Dan
forth inducted into the office. Mar
ion Harlan arrives in town and when
Carrington insults her she goes to
Taylor's ranch for protection.
Avenging the insult, Taylor beats
Carrington into insensibility, but is
badly wounded in doing so .
Marion nurses him back to health,
and he learns to love her. When
Carrington, to get revenge, accuses
Taylor of having murdered Marion's
father, a terrific gun fight follows, in
which Taylor captures Carrington and
exposes him' before the entire popu
lace. Taylor is installed as sherilf
and Marion gives him her heart and
hand.

Mary Miles Minter was bora in
Shreveport, Louisiana, on April Fool's
Day, 1902. As she has been before
the public almost since she was a
baby, she never attended school, but
has received her education through
rrivate totors. .
Though one of the youngest of
American actresses, Miss Minter has
had a long and brilliant career on
both stage and screen. She made her
debut on the stage with the late Nat
C. Goodwin in "Cameo Klrby." Fol
lowing this auspicious beginning, she
appeared with Dustin Farnum in "Tho
Squaw Man," and with Robert Hil-
liard, Mrs. Fiske and Madame Bertha
Kalich.;
She made her debut in photoplay
before she reached her "teens" and
tbe name of Mary Miles Minter has
been featured on the screen from the
start. k
Miss Minter has completed Israel
Zangwell's "Nurse Marjorie," tha
third production for Reahart Pictures
which will be the principal attraction
at the Auditorium theater today and
tomorrow.
