That the following article, including the opinion of At torney General Thomas Carmody, of New York, making Jacksonville's new I1.5'.0v0 municipal dock bSBds legal investments for the savings banks of that state, will be read with great interest by patriotic citizens through out the city and state is the opinion of many. More than this, it is certain to be cut otit and filed away for reference by officials of the state, counties and crdes. as it not only gives Florida, financially speaking, a clean bill of health, tut cites references that make the document one of special value to all office's as well as every lawyer and those interested in Florida's fi nancial and future prospects. This opinion was presented by City Attorney P. H. Odum, of Jack sonville, along with his official re port and a statement from New York counsel to the ratification of the sale cf the bonds. Attorney Odum and Commissioner Kenry G. Aird. chairman of the bond committee and finance committee of the pea board, made a trip to New Yo City and Albany. N. Y.. their mission resulting m not only un precedented success, but also estab lishing an official basis, so far as the financial obligation and standing of Florida, that is certain to prove as valuable to the entire state in the future as in the tremendous influence and prestieate gained by this decision. 2 4' 2 4 SUMMER SCHOOL FOR FLORIDA CITY.
