packing house was destroyed
three residences were damaged
fortunately not to a serious degree.
The woods that burned had not
been burned out for many years and
consequently made a fire of extraord
inary intensity which was very hard
to control.
The Herald has been asked by 5-'o-lana
folk to extend thanks to the
Punta Gorda people who helped to
fight the fire and thereby save their
homes.
