At a largely attended meeting of sub scrlbers to stock in the club Monday night, the club was organized on a working basis and officers elected to serve until the first annual meeting of stockholders. C. W. Hewitt, to wiiom is due no small part or tire credit for the suc cessful start the club has made, was elected president and director; J. S. Golf was elected vice-president and director; L. B. Hobinson, secretary; W. H. DeLoach, treasurer; and P. E. Mason, K. K. Seward and F. R. Iilount were elected directors. The new ollicers held their first meeting last night for t'w purpose of mak ing definite plans for the beginning of actual work on the course, which It Is hoped may be ready for use by the first of next January, at the latest. When the stock-soiling campaign was started. It was decided that at least $ 1 2,500 worth of stock must have been sold before applying for Charter. Mr. Smith went home to vote in the primary election last Tuesday and is now making an official business trip through the state. Saturday Mr. Hill went to Charlotte Harbor and Cleve land by boat and made pictures for the people of these places. Manager Harry Goldstein, of the Plaza theater, left Monday for Al I lanta, where he went to buy a new picture machine for use in the Plaza theater. The machine he will purchase will be the very latest and most expensive on the market. The addition of another machine will make it possible to give a con tinuous show, without Intermission between reels of pictures, and the Plaza will be the only theater south of Tampa on the west coast so equipped. Manager Goldstein is constantly endeavoring to improve his show. and as a result of his efforts the Plaza has won the reputation of be ing second to no other theater in south Florida.
