Charlotte Harbor, have moved to Mc
Call and are occupying apartments
in the R. C. Buchan Hats. Mr. Goff
has retired from fishing for a time
and is now in the employ of the C.
H. & N. railway, repairing the fence
along the right of way.
No doubt but the finny tribe in the
Myakka was more at ease last week
as Mr. Walker was employed by Mi
Bell on some carpenter work which
kept himself and Mrs. Walker away
from the river. But Just you listen
to the swish of the lines this week.
We note in last weeks Herald that
Otto Gottfried had received his com
mission from the governor as com
missioner from the Aftb district to
take the place of Mr. Wood who had
resigned. We were glad to know
this as we have long felt the urgent
need of a representative on the Board
of Commissioners from this neck of
the woods. It was for lack of repre
sentation that gave the 100 percent
vote in favor of division in this voting
district. If Mr. Gottfried will only
consider the needs of the district and
not the meager compensation receiv
ed for his attendance, he may acquit

t Because of the fact that labor is the biggest item of cost in the
production of printing, when Charlotte county people deal with
the Punta Oorda Publishing Company, the larger portion of each
1 dollar spent with us stays in the community and eventually a
part of it finds its way back into the till whence it came. Each dollar spent
with ns helps to pay taxes, support community organizations, make improve
ments and pay salaries to home people who deal with home people. Every
share of stock of the Punta Gorda Publishing Company is owned by home
people and every stockholder is a taxpayer in Charlotte county some of
them very large ones.
The above are very good reasons for Charlotte county people
keeping the dollars they spend for printing in Charlotte county,
but there are betterones: We are equipped to turn ont all
kinds of printing at prices generally to percent under the nrlc
asked by big-cit, printers, because our production costs are less, and if you

ready to supply JOur needs at prices no higher than asked by others-and
sometimes our prices on this class of work are less than others ask. We use
