Fred Woedeman was able
to leave Seward General
hospital Tuesday and -stop
ped in Moose Pass en route
to hi8 cabin at Mile 41.
The penuchle tournament
being played by Mr. and Mrt
Harry L. Smith, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Williams and Mr.
and Mrs. Jake Laubscher is
now nearing an end, the won
en playing against the men.
The men are ahead. One of
the men players reports
that the men intend to win
in the tournament. Pride
goeth before a fall and at
a gathering to be held to
night with the Harry L.
Smiths the women expect to
leap toward victory by
thousands.
Miss Ana Smith, who is
receptionist in Dr.A. R.
Roberts' office in Seward,
spent Monday night in Mooso
Pass with Mr. and Mrs. Har
ry L. Smith.
The Valentine Dance at
Lawing Roadhouse last Sat
urday night was well attant
ed and proved to be a high
ly enjoyable affair. The
music by Miss Mary Staffor<
playing piano accordion,
John L. Nelson, saxophone
and Gub Manthey, drums,was
excellent.
A skating party on Lake
Kenai Tuesday night inclu
ded Mrs. Alice Ebing,Harry
Conkery,Miss Mary Stafford,
Charles Clements and Mrs.
Ray Stafford.
Cynthia and Jacqueline
Witt and Geraldine Grieet -
have enrolled in Moose Pas i
school. The children are
walking five miles each
way in order to attend
school. Of such material
are heroines made.
Big dance this Saturday
night nt Hielo'b Roadhouse ,
This is the last dance un
der Mrs. Ebing's managemen;
as tho roadhouse will be
taken over March 1 by Mr,
and Mrs. Will Estes.
