Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thomas left Tuesday for the Lyman dam where they will help in the cooking department of the boarding house. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Irwin and Lawrence Sherwood of Richville was business visitors last Saturday. Thomas was looking after some land matters. Frank Christensen left Tues day for the Blanco Canyon where he has been employed by James Cullen to run a gasoline engine for well drill ing. W. E. Stratton of Snowflake is given the credit of being the best witness that has been on the stand in the Hunt Campbell contest for the gov ernor ship of our state. Lorenzo Hubbell of Ganado, for the haul ing of their ore from their stor age bins to Flagstaff. The ore will be brought across the greater part of the way to .the bins, over the heavy sand roads by cater pillar trucks. Senator Hubbell says the num ber of teams he will put on the haul will depend on the number of tons of ore the company can deliver at the bins. He is ready to put on a hundred teams if necessary to handle the work. Many tons of ore have been stacked up ready for the cater pillar haul and Senator Hubbell will soon have teams handling his end of the work. Al Trammell, the painter, has completed his work on Johnny Lesueur's house and John and family have moved in. Mrs. Neadice Thompson who has spent the winter at Long Beach, Cal., has returned home. We welcome Mrs. Thompson with us again. We understand that Mr. Becker has planed for a new $15,000 hotel to be erected this summer. Ed Burk has justf inished clean ing the town ditch so now get busy and plant your garden. The stars and stripes are now afloat in Springerville, just to show our respect to these dear old United States of America. The new Sanchez building is neanng completion. Forester Sizer has been trans ferred to Roosevelt on the Tonto forest. Big Harris Miller has sold out of the cattle business. Harris is abroad mostly now-a-days.
