A slock holders meeting of the Zenos Co-op Institution was held Monday in Co-op hall. The books and reports of the institution was given over and the standing cf the institu tion was found to be on a much better basis than anticipated by most of the stockholders. While no dividend was declared—owing to the dull season the past year, yeat a substantial profit ' was made. Mines whose annual production did not exceed $50,000 per annum to be exempt from the operation of the act. This hill should because a law as according to the tax lists of the ter ritory there is only $40,000,000 dol lars of mining property taxed, wjiich the mining tutere'.ts of the territory will aggregate, more than four biiiien and there is no reason why the mines should not carry their just proportion of the expenses of the territory. The legislature continues to grind out its hills, but all the work is con servative, and of a nature to jiene&fe the people.
