We have the talent this year for a mighty fine foot ball team, both for the town and for the high school. Dr. Sampson of Winslow was a county seat visitor Monday. Roy Thomas, who has been in the navy for sometime, returned home Monday after having been discharged from the service. D. J. Thomas, vice presideat of the Merchants & Stock Grow ers Bank, returned home Monday from a business conference in Chicago. The judge reports very successful trip, R. N. Pincetl, popular mana ger of Babbitt Bros, has been on a business trip of several' days duration. mi i ine assessor and uounty Treasurer are preparing for the fall tax work. The Black Canyon Oil Com pany will shortly resume opera tions. The company is well or ganized for fall and winter oper ations. Attention is called to the ad vertisement of the Merchants & mock growers can, we are indeed fortunate in haying such a strong and progressive finan cial institution. Work on the Holbrook Oil Go's well is progressing satisfactorily. The foot ball team - tentative ly, at least - has been formed, and the complexion of it bids fair to be a winner. Now let us have a foot ball team to match our base ball team - and we think we have got it well on the way. Attention is called to the new fall linesx:oming in at Schuster's.
