ed and that the road designated by the plat and description at
tached to said petition be hereby declared a Public Road and a
County Highway, and the right-of-wzy of said road be hereby
declared to be the property of the Connty of Navajo. Arizona.

from Winslow, in relation to the VVinslow-Reservation road.

Pursuant to a recess taken on the 7th, the Board met this
date in regular session. ' All present.
Judge Sloan was retained as special counsel to assist the Coun
ty Attorney in the prosecution of the officers of the First Nation
al Bank of Albuquerque in relation to the failure of the Holbrook
State Bank, of Holbrook, Arizona.
A petition signed by ten or more taxpayers of Winslow pray
ing lor the establishment of a public road beginning at the Fur
and Feather Wash and thence running in a northerly direction
via Chandler Butte to the south line of the Moqui Indian Rsserva
tion, near Comar Springs, which said road will be on a route from
the Moqui Indian Reservation to the town of Winslow,' was pre
sented to the Board asking that viewers be appointed to view out
the proposed route. '
After being assured by the Winslow delegation that in case
the yiewers should recommend the proposed route, and abandon
the present road on which considerable of the money set aside for
the building of a road to the Reservation has already been expend
ed, that they, the delegation would be responsible for the, money
thus lost, and if the Board would select a set of impartial viewers
to look over the proposed route and compare it with the approved
line that they would be willing to abide by the decision of the
board of viewers.' The Board of Supervisors agreed to appoint
three viewers outside ef the town of Winslow.
James H. Frost was aopointed County Engineer for the sole
purpose of viewing the proposed route.
Jones Grigsby and Chas Ballard were chosen as viewers to
assist Engineer Frost.
There appearing to be no further businegs upon ,motion duly
carried the Board adjourned.

by E. É. Vanderhoef, manager of the Arizona Con
solidated Oil Company, the operating company for
the Adamana. Sufficient time has elapsed for the
arrival of this casing provided its movement had
been more than usually prompt, although the com
pany is advised that Pittsburg delivery ordinarily .
takes six weeks. Dae to the fact that railroads are
moving an immense tonnage of cattle, sheep, coal
and grain at this season, the delay, while unfortun
ate, is only to be expected.
