Miss Alf Mason of Cooley, a cousin of Miss Rose Scorse of our city visited her rela tive in Holbrook on last Fri day. The Navaio-Apache Tel. Co. has purchased several trucks for use in construc tion work. At present only one has been delivered, and it is one of "Henry's Spe cials." B. B. Neel of the Bank of Winslow drove up from the neighboring city of Winslow last Sunday, and when he returned home it was be hind the steering wheel of a brand new Willys Knight car which he had purchased fromW. W. Franklin the Holbrook Overland dealer. Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor, Miss Helen Schuster and Dick Schuster were among the number who tried their luck on the opening days of the hunting season. The party motored up to the Purcell ranch and took up their quarters at the ranch house. They say that they had a most delightful time and they came back with two turkeys, which is pretty good luck.
