VoL 1 N 0.4 OPA CRACKS DOWN ON RENT GOUGERS The "breathing spell" occasioned by the de parture of the large number of troops stat ioned at Port Huachucn has given the military authorities at the Post an opportunity to cor rect many of the social and economic problems arising in communities surrounding the Fort* One of those problems has been that of exhor bit ant rent 3 charged civilians and military personnel living off the Post. At the request of authorities here, the rental section of G.P.A. has cracked down on rent chiselors, to ef fect savings that will amount to thousands of dollars- monthly, by see ing to it that no rent al charges shall exceed those set by O.P.A. and that litigation is enter ed into the courts wherc (Cont’d. on page 2) HQ.
