'5 SERVICE CLUB NO.l N—B—W-S N—C—T—ErS A long hoped for and wel come sight: The Service Club dance f.loor filled with gay and dancing coup les. Yes, that’s what hap pened last Friday night. The Ordnance Ammunition Companies, the latest ar rivals on the Post, took over tiie opening dance of ' the in-coming season? and by converting it into their inactivating party opened up many possibilities. The result- a 'rush call to all WACs far and near, WACs from the Douglas Air Base and WACs from Davis-Llon than Field in Tucson grac iously accepted, arriving On time to the joy of the hosts. Adding +-ho visiting WACs to our own MAC group and the ladies of the Post who came out- one of the largest groups of females of all time added the gra ce and zest one thinks of §s a special dance and party. Refreshments w. re served in the Lena Home Amphi-Theater. Chilling fall winds forced the dan cing inside the Club room where it continued far past bed-check time to the joy of all.EUgene Jackson’s rhythm band turned on the heat with the latest mel odies accompanied by voca lists S rt. Grumpier and Freddie Baker. A big sur prise of the evening was the singing of Mrs. Wea thers, a local beautician. It i 3 always'lots of fun to see the surprise of new fellows when a really bang up happy evening is spent amid the Huachuca mountains However, you 'don’t al ways have to visit the Ser vice Club to dance only.
