Passey is a native of Atlanta, Ga and after having attended Clark Univ,, in his hometown for two years, trans ferred to Arkansas State, and graduat ing in 1940. He holds a 3,3, in Social Science, Prior to entering the service, Lt, Passey was the funeral director of the fellers Pros., Atlanta’s leading morticians. Entering the service some Ui years ago, he received his basic training at At, Denning, Ga.,and served in the per sonnel section until he entered OCS, Lt, I assay v- t commissioned a 2nd Lt in the Adjutant Gerural Department, Sept. 8, 1941. Hi. s first station was W. Va., State College, where he. served as adju tant to the AST? unti there. He also graduated from the Personal Affairs School, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va. His next assignment carried him to Camp Atterbury, Ind., where he served until his transfer here. Lt. Passey re*- coived his present commission June 7, 1945. His office is upstairs in the Spec ial building on the Old Post and he wants the personnel to feel free to call on him at any time. ANOTHER ARRIVAL - Lt. H. TATE - The assistant I & E Officer comes to this Post after completing a tour of duty as an I & E expert in Hq NSC. Dur ing this time, he toured camps through out the command, He is a native of New ark, J, J, and a graduate of thu New Jersey Law School,Prior to his entrance in the service over two years ago, Lt, Tate had a successful practice in Nev/- ark. He was also chairman of tne Newark Community OLv-st Fund for three years; trustee oft, j Community Hospit.-il Board and on the Advisory Board of the Newark Housing Authority, He received hie basic at Kearns, Utah and was in the iiir Corps until his com mission from the Washington and Lee ..University OCS in Lexington, Va., July 2, 1945.
