Bourfield, who retired after three years of service in the Med ical Corps was honored with a dinner party by his fellow officers at the Mountainview Officers* Mess, October 2. The arrangements for this affair were made by Lt, Col. Harold V, Thatcher, Chief of Medical Service at the Station Hospital. Major Phillip T. Johnson was the toastmaster. Music was furnished by the Special Service Division. Lt. Whis onant sang the retiring officer’s fav orite number, "Danny Boy", and was ac companied by Lt, N. Stanfield. Improm ptu speeches were given by Col. Charles Smith, Post Commander and Col. Bous - field. A delightful repast was served. Those attending were: Cols. C. Smith and E. B. Maynard, Lt. Cols. H.
