O'Hare returned from Tombstone this
evening.
Mr. Whilst?, tba president ot the
Erie Cattle company, n in town

his cattle Interests. He returned ta
the ranch yesterday.
Mrs. Sneed and Mrs. Green and fam

ber of bundles they took with them we
judge tbey were starting to lay in
their store of holiday goods.
Mr. H. G. Howe camn iu on the
train jesterday evening on another
bort trip connected with the Bisbee
Townsite. He bas been so busy of
late taat be bas not been able to gt
over here before as be would liked to
have done.
Horace C. Stillman, a well known
resident of both Biebe and Tomb
stone, who bas been eagsged in rniti
iog operations in Sunora for tome
time past, came in this evening on a
short viiil to bis family, be will only
remain a few dayr, however, as his
servicts are necessary at present in the
land of manyana.
The usual bevy of payday drum
mers and peddlers came in on yester
dsv'. train and immediately tnads
arrangements to rake in their portion
of tbe cbeckles. We may be Uyiug
ourselves liable to the epithet ol
"crank" but we can't for the life
of us see hew our people oan contin
ually encoutage and purchase fioiu
this class of peotle. Tncy have no
tuterest whatever in our town, and in
no case do tbey give any better values
for our money than we aan obtain
right in our own borne sttres. In re
gard to the tribe c! peddlera we can
jnly say that three-quarters of tbetr
wares are shoddy and unworthy ol
room, sad yet

flourish and grow fat on every one of
their periodic faking trips. Iu the
name ol common sense, good people,
get onto yourselves and give our home

of right should be their due.
