Suob a book woulj surely hare a large and ready ale. Now has tbn season returned wli6n tho nights grow colder and lenger and our lonely young men take a move onto themselves and search about for a companion of the fair sex who are ever willing to light the fire on a cold morning. The advent of the season in iJisbee was well celebrated last night by two woddings ameng some of htr beet known residents. The Marriage of Mr. Wm. P. Scott and Miss Maud Liggett took place at the home of the bri Ie, which was ap propriately deccrated for the occasion. The ceremoay was attended by uoiin but the relatives and a few of the more particular friends, but all of their many friends and acquaintances con gratulate the young folks en their ;eod fortune and wish them a full measure of happiness and prosperty. The second wedding-, that of Mr. George Spindles and Miss Luoy Hum phrey, was also a quiet bonne affair and took place at the home of the bride during the afternoon. A few friends of the parties were invltvd to attend and. the wedding was a most pleasant one. Their many friends also join in wishing them a life of prosperity and happiness. We feel that wn owe our readers an apology for not giving the colors and styles of the gowns worn by the brides and their maids last evening, and we feel obliged to eay in explanation of our apparent neglect, that we are not quite a well up with the ladies as our fellow tcrihes on the Orb staff and consequently were unable to get any of them to write up the necessary descriptions for us. They all teld us very reluctantly that they hardly ever did anything like that and then only for Mr. Howe. As a consequence we are outdone but will copy the desired matter from the Orb next Saturday rid kt tbst the readers of the Pros rECTOR Ioe none of it. Iu making your selection of Christ miss and holiday presents there is nothing mare appropriate than a well selected piece of jewelry. Our local jeweler, Mr.Scbmicding.haa latelv laid in quite an astotment of artciee in this line, all of the latest and most ap proval patterns. His sleek ot gald quar.i jewelry is especially attractive, and a call en him may save you much trouble and care ia tout Cniittm'as elections.
