This is do ' nated free of charge by tbe govern ment, and this provides f-ee treatment j of the victims by each state and terri tory. The material furnished by the Ma rina hospital servic comprises a num ber of spina! cords of animal", such as rabbits. These cords are iunoculatd with the hydrophobia gnrms in differ ent degrees of virulence. A Mexican Consul Files Charges What may result in an international complication, though so largo an ending of a comparatively small be ginning seems scarcely creditable, is the battery case of Elenor Enrique Comacbo, Mexican consul at Yuma, versus Frank Green, which bas been dragging in tbe justice's court at that city. The trouble started Sunday last, the consul declaring that he was set upon by Green and another man and badly pummeled as punishment, tbey declared, for his lack of interest in tba defense of Comacho's country men in tws recent casrt where Mexi cans have mixed jip with Yuma In dians. The first of these cases was that of the policeman, Charles Et calante, who was stabbed by two Mex icans tome eight weeks ago and sub sequently died of hit wounds, the Mexioant being turned over to tbe United States authorises, by whom they are now hjld in Los Angeles. The other case which furnished a grievance against Comacho was that of the Mexican boy who was shot, apparently accidently, by two Indian boys who were playing with a gun on the Yuma reservation about three miles from there several weeks since, o Counterfeit money baa been put in circulation in Courtland and there it reason to believe that the plant where tbe "queer" it being made it located near that camp. Reduction Likely in Passenger Rates Among tbe various other live ques tions which it has up with the rail roads, the Arizona Railway commis sion has for some time teen pushing thesuljct o! local passenger rate". This (net wa stated by Sims Ely, who ha9 ju-t returned from a brief busine-s vieit to New Mexico. "Some wevLt ago in personal con ference with railway ofScers, and later in formal correspondence, the matter was taken up " said Mr. Ely to the Phoenix Republican, "and I hope it will njt be long until wecan announce reeults. We have asked for reduc tions of 1 cent per mile. "In arriving at these figures." said Mr. Ely "the commission was guided. largely by the statistics of the earn ing of the various lines; we reached tbe conclusion that on the whole it would not be unfair to the railways to have the suggested redactions put in operation. The commission i satis fied that with the auggested rate in force the railways will sutler no sub stantial reductions of earnings.
