The Crown Dredging & Mining Company of Nevada has acquired eight and a haif miles of placer Kfotind <>n Brch creek and its tribu unies, the whoole comprising* about >AUC acres of dredging ground. This grow nil has been explored by engi neers of the Crown Dredging & Min ing Company and has been found to mntain placer gold of commercial im portance, suitable for large dredging operations. At a meeting of thft stockholders o| the Crown Dredging & Mining company, held in Reno, Nevada, on lanuury 10, the action of President \. J. Baumgartner and other officers d the company, to lease and bond the great Circle City holdings to the (General Development Company, of Ni>. 1 Broadway, New York, and the < sold Fields American Company, No. t!3‘t Broadway, New York, was rati fied. Under terms of the dteaL. which hh& now been consummated, the Gen eral' Development Company and.the (sold Fields American Company, will finance the great undertaking, sup plying the dredgers and other equip merit necessary to mine the ground on, a large scale. The General Development Company is controlled by Adolph Lcwishon & Horn, prominently identified with the Continental Miami Copper Company, Tennessee Copper Company, and in scientific gold operations in Colom bia, South America, It is estimated there are 40,000,DAO cubic yards of goid-bearing ground n the district held by the Crown Coi - poration.
