M. In His Footsteps. W. H. Thomas, who represents the Rice Nursery of Council Bluffs, Iowa, has just returned from an inspection trip up around Hardin grove, Topbar, Milesville and El bon. He reports everything in glowing terms. Mr. Thomas is the only person in these parts who personally sees to the planting and setting out of all trees and shrub bery he sells. The following year on his canvassing round he re places all trees that have failed with trees an extra year older. He says there is not one person in' ten who understands the art of setting out and caring for trees. Mr. Thomas has spent his life in the nursery business and his father was the first nurseryman in th state of Iowa at Clinton, when that place was the frontier town of the west. Mr. Thomas is follow ing in the footsteps of his father, being the first and only tree man who sells his trees and personally looks after them from ^ear to year, To those who are skeptical about planting fruit trees in Stanley county Mr. Thomas points with just pride to the orchards he has set out in t|ie peat three years, tf Notice Every person and every eorpor- poration in Kadoka township are hereby notified to destroy all Kttau weeds neh aa Iftiirian 'thiatlai OhMde thistle and lN£»voft or before Am, ON HAILliOAD ST. 16-28 J.
