Very few oystermen are working from this place thia season. Quite a number of them are employed by the Henrico Lumber Co., who ia operat ing near here. It is quite amusing to read the differ ent newspaper accounts of the recent difhculty in the Jamea river. We do not believe that there is a man in the State who could have adjuated matters in a more satisfactory manner than did Mr. Lee. Some are howling because Mr. klaM di.l not fire into that crowd. Rozier Hall, son of R. Neville Hall, a prominent and popular citizen of lower Lancaster, committed suicide by shoot ing himself in the head Friday afternoon of last week. Mr. Hall was quarter master on one of the Mercl.ants & Miners steamers and had been home several weeka on a vacation. H? had prepared to leave that day to resume his work and when the rash act was committed there was no one at homa except his mother. She gave the alarm to some of her neighbors, wbo were passing. A physician was summoned. but before he could arrive Hall was dead. Several years ago he became deeply interested in Christian Science and other kindred subjects, which are thought to have unaettled his mind, and made him despondcnt.
