opinion it is not an improvement on the
former roadbed which was fiber covered

John C Jones the well known Orlando
lawer returned the first of the week
from Dade county lie is making a close
canvass for the position of states attorney
and as Tin OTlt is informed is doing
well Mr Jones is a straight Democrat
an accomplished lawyer and a perfect
gentleman It will not discredit the well
known ability of Judge Begns for us to
say that Mr Jones is worthy of the sup
port he is receiving He has been a
prominent leader in Orange county for
nearly twenty years and has never liven
a candidate for otlice before Mr Jones
left Tuesday for Daytona and points in
Volusia county

day afternoon
Mr Richard Gladwin who left Miami
Tuesday for this place in his popular

Miss Bessie Hall returned home Wed
nesday from her visit to friends on
Merritts Island She was accompanied
bv the Misses Alice and Beatrice Sanders
of Indianola who will visit Mr and lira

A bicycle and a buggy collidedon the
fiber road at the corner of Mr Wetmores
yard Wednesday night Mr Bobbett
was riding the hike and Mrs Daniels
of Sunbeam was driving the buggy Mr
Bohbetts eyesight is not very good and
he did not see the buggy until it struck
his front wheel He was dragged a short
distance and his foot injured somewhat
The front rim of the bicycle was broken
McFarlands monkey g mt away from
its quarters Saturday and created quite a
furore for a while among the ivndents of
South Titusville Patsy the monkey is
inclined to be a little vicious toward
children and on several occasions has
bitten the children of Mr CJeo M bob
bins the adjoining neighbor on the
north For some hours it was a hope
less task of recapturing Patsy during
which time the ladies of that part of
town barncadetl themselves in doors
The animal was finally caught and it is
hoped Mr MeFarland will keep him up
