W. MC CLUER, PM2. Ex. 360/040J Editor Look Up For Truth Alittla boy was walking along with his mother one summer's night and, like most youngsters, his attention was caught by every passing sight — flowers, trees, houses, people. Finally he looked'upanc^ for what must have seemed a long time, 1b stared skyward. Wisely, his mother made no comment until she saw he was ready to speak. Then she asked "Johnny, what on earth were you thinking about?" For a moment or two the youngster searched for words to describe his thoughts. "If the bottom side of heaven is so beautiful," he replied at last, "how wonderful the other side must be.” Abraham Lincoln had pretty much the same idea, and Lincoln's words are part icularly applicable in our present day (continued next column) M It ji jj. 7 -7 H H v/nen millions the world over ore losing sight of the presence of God and His existence, are thinking, of man simply as being without a soul or an eternal destiny. : - - ■ ' This is what,Lincoln said: "I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be atheist, but I cannot see how he could look up into heaven and say there is no God." From this consideration, we ought to resolve to look up frequently and re flect on the existence of an all-good, : all-merciful, all-wise Supreme Being whom we call God. In taking a minute out of each day to look up, I am sure, the truth of David's words ring trues "The heqvens show forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the wcr of his hands." {psalm 18sl) Chaplain Morris + + + + + + + + + +!+ + + + +"+ + + +' + * CUBA QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Castro promised free elections when he took over in 1958* ■ Have they been held?
