Last week at the Teen Club new officers were elected, and we would like to thank Ron Rose, Kathy Collins, Carl McGaffin, and A1 Frascella for their time and ef fort helping the Teenagers of Adak,Alaska This week Jerry Benett was nominated as school bus driver of the week. Jerry was born in Indipendence, Kansas and joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and was with the Corps for four years. At the age of 22 he became, a Navy career man and was transferred to Adak, Alaska and now •__U „ 1 U. UA UiXVwo i i w ;rT • Jerry is married arid has two children of his own and likes children very much. Jerry will be leaving us on the second of February. So long Jerry! Teen-Age sport nows in the next column TEEN-AGE BOWLING LEAGUE The Teen-Age Dowling League is in the third week of bowling now and there is still one member needed to complete the eight Teams with five members# Anyone desiring to bowl in the Teen-Age League should contact Linda McPherson and have their name put on the waiting list* It was written into the By-Laws of the Teen-Age Bowling League that the Pres ident would contact at least two chaper ons for each night of bowling. The res ponse of the parents so far has been prot ty good but there are still eleven weeks of the league to go* So if by chance you as parents, are asked to donate a coupl^j hours of your time to this organization^ don’t hesitate cause your son or daughter is a member and they will appreciate your help along with the other parents. Leading the league for the boys and girls with high averages are Ken Handlin and Ron Smith, Cheryl Forbes and Linda McKellar, High Series spots are filled* by Ken Handlin and Bob Maghan, Sue Moore and Cheryl Forbes* High Games for the . league are 187 for Ron Smith, 131 for Ron Wright5 for the Girls Sue Moore has a 145 and Linda McPherson has a 135, These highs are pretty good for the first weeks of bowling but during the rest of the league the positions will change ** quite frequently, V -* * * * * ADAK SCHOOL =FRED= -X- -X- -x- * * -x HONCR ROLL The- following names should have appeared on the Adak School Honor Rolls 2nd Mine Weeks 1st Semester 9th Grade Guy Oafus Guy Dafus 12th Grade Ronald Wright Ronald Wright In addition Janice Hagen and Joanne Ray, 8th grade, were the only straight "A" students on the Honor Roll*
