W, ,MC CLUER, PN2, Ex. 360/040J Editor -+++ CHAPLA IN*S C XvNER +++ Alive Inside A man who had a good opinion of his own abilities, so much so that bethought he could do anything, better than anyone else, was once taught a good lesson. He was standing in front of a taxidermist store. In the window there was an owl which had attracted quite a few sight seers. Anxious to display his knowl- . edge, he said, with a pompous air, "Well, if 1 couldn’t stuff an owl any better than I would quit the business. The head isn't right. The poise of the body isn't right. The feet are not placed right." Before he could finish, the owl turned his head and shifted his position a little. The crowd laughed, and the critic moved on* Christians are something like the owl - and not just.. because to be a Christian is very wise* We Christians, look very much like other people, but there is a very great dif ference - we are alive inside. Having been born into a new life through God’s, redemptive love in Jesus Christ we have a vitality and a strength which not only shows up with splendor in the crises of life, but which manifests itself in our daily living. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is . in heaven."
